Many key healthcare projects to be put into operation in 2015

(ĐN)- Despite the economic difficulties, Dong Nai always gives capital priority to invest in infrastructure for health sector. Especially, many big healthcare projects will be put into operation this year, making a breakthrough for the province's development in healthcare infrastructure.

New Dong Nai General Hospital

One of the key projects to be put into operation this year is New Dong Nai General Hospital. The hospital, which is scheduled to inaugurate and put into operation on April 30, 2015, is accessed to be equal to other hospitals in the Southeast Asian region.

The hospital is built at 2 Dong Khoi Street, Tam Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City for a total cost of VND3.2 trillion. It consists of two 19-story buildings that cover a total area of about 70,000 square meters. It also has a landing field for helicopters on its terrace. Equipped with advanced medical equipment and facilities, the hospital will have 1,400 sickbeds which are expected to meet the demand of the patients, helping to reduce hospital overload.

Early in 2015, Thong Nhat General Hospital’s Heart Center was put into operation, helping to bring joy to heart patients in the province. The center was built at the total cost of nearly VND76 billion, of which more than VND70 billion is spent for modern medical equipment. The center, which is a satellite unit of HCM city’s Cho Ray hospital, will carry out high techniques to treat local patients with heart failure.

In addition, six healthcare projects will be built or are under construction in 2015, comprising Long Khanh Regional General Hospital, Tan Phu General Hospital, Dong Nai Children Hospital’s Division for Infection Treatment, waste treatment systems at the health centers, medical stations and Heart Center.
