(ĐN)- In the morning of November 9, Long Thanh regional General Hospital in cooperation with the district’s Red Cross Chapter provided free eye check-ups to 100 disadvantaged people, policy beneficiaries and single elders.
Accordingly, 34 of them who are cataract sufferers and trichiasis patients received their operations free of charge at the hospital.
The surgeries cost more than VND60 million, funded by HCM city Ophthalmology Association.
Since the beginning of the year, 187 poor patients in Long Thanh district got free eye surgeries.
