(ĐN)- More than 6,500 children in Vinh Cuu district will be beneficiaries of the "school milk program" with the purpose of building a young generation strong in body and mind, reported the district’s People’s Committee.
Of the children, nearly 5,000 are students of public kindergartens, and 1,500 others are private kindergarten students.
The program costs more than VND3 billion, of which over VND1.5 billion comes from the state budget, more than VND1 billion from the children’s parents and the remaining from milk suppliers.
In 2014, the district will strive to reduce the weight and height malnutrition rates of children by 8% and 10%, respectively.
