(ĐN)- On March 28, an inspection delegation led by Deputy Director Huynh Cao Hai of Health Department had a working session with Cam My district’s leaders on preventing and controlling diseases.
The delegation suggested that the district should step up efforts to raise local people awareness on diseases in animals and poultry.
In the first quarter of the year, Cam My reported 27 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease and 21 petechial fever patients.
The district destroyed 2,500 chickens after A/H5N1 was found in Lam San commune. Local animal health agency have conducted disinfection and vaccinations at three bird flu hotbeds in Lam San, Song Ray and Xuan My communes in order to limit the spread of the diseases.
