(ĐN)- Dinh Quan district Red Cross Chapter in cooperation with Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Centre on Tuesday launched a humanitarian blood donation program to respond to the Pink Spring Festival 2014.
The event received wholehearted support from civil servants, teachers, soldiers, students and people in the district, and collected 275 blood units to help needy patients.
As known, the locality has mobilized 587 blood units so far this year to respond to the Pink Spring Festival 2014.
The same day, the Red Cross Chapter of Dau Giay Rubber Farm under Dong Nai Rubber Corp and Haematology Centre collected 100 blood units from donors who are employees of the farm.
The 2014 Pink Spring Festival is organized from January 1 to March 15 by the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion aiming to ease the blood shortage in the health sector.
