(ĐN)- Recently, the provincial Health Department held a meeting to evaluate the activities of the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Project in the 2006-2013 period.
Founded in 2006, the project funded by World Bank and UK Department for International Development has deployed six programs. The priority has been focused on people in high risk groups for HIV infection. Accordingly, the number of newly-infected people with HIV has decreased since 2006.
The US$2.5 million project has been implemented in areas with large numbers of people in the high-risk groups such as Bien Hoa city, Long Khanh town and the four districts of Trang Bom, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach and Xuan Loc.
