(ĐN)- Recently, Dong Nai province’s Red Cross Association in cooperation with its agency in Tan Phu district provided free eye check-ups to more than 500 local poor people.
As a result, 70 of them who are cataract sufferers and trichiasis patients will get free eye operations at Tan Phu General Hospital on August 8.
The total cost of the program is approximately VND50 million, funded by sponsors from HCM city.
According to plan, around 200 people with eye diseases in Tan Phu district will receive free surgeries in 2013.
