Dong Nai celebrates Vietnam Physicians’ Day

(ĐN)- A meeting was held at Dong Nai Conference Centre on Feb. 26 to mark the 58th anniversary of the Vietnam Physicians’ Day and honor doctors and nurses for their contributions to the health sector.

(ĐN)- A meeting was held at Dong Nai Conference Centre on Feb. 26 to mark the 58th anniversary of the Vietnam Physicians’ Day and honor doctors and nurses for their contributions to the health sector.

The meeting saw the attendance of Chairman Vy Van Vu of the provincial Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of People’s Committee, and more than 500 medical staffs.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri suggested the health sector to continue its efforts to overcome difficulties, focus on human resources development, enhance the medical ethics and improve the standards of diagnosis and treatment.

He also pointed to the need for the local medical staffs to update their knowledge and improve their skills, contributing to the healthcare service for the local people.

On this occasion, 5 collectives were awarded  emulation flags of Ministry of Health , 11 units received the certificates of merit of the ministry, 3 collectives were awarded emulation flags of the provincial People’s Committee, 15 units got excellent emulation flags of the health sector, and 126 individuals were presented campaign medals of the Health Ministry.
