Nguyen Van Thai, 51, whose left arm was almost separated from his body, is recovering after a successful operation to re-attach the limb, Thong Nhat general hospital in Dong Nai Province announced yesterday.
Thai was hospitalised in critical condition, with a weak pulse and low blood pressure. After Monday’s six-hour operation, he now could move his fingers, said the hospital.
