(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Project Management Board for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control met to evaluate its activities over the past six years.
Founded in 2006, the project funded by World Bank and UK Department for International Development has deployed six programs. The priority has been focused on people in high risk groups for HIV infection. Accordingly, the number of newly-infected people with HIV has decreased since 2006.
So far, the province has 6,431 people infected with HIV, of whom , 2,476 have developed full-blown AIDS and 1,500 have died of this dangerous disease.
