(ĐN)-Early on November 14, Bien Hoa city’s Medical Center launched a campaign across the city to clean up the environment and prevent hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) and dengue fever.
From the beginning this year, the city recorded more than 2,500 cases of HFMD with one death, highly increased against the same period last year, and nearly 1,500 dengue fever cases, including 4 deaths.
Over the past time, the center has made efforts to control the spread of the infected diseases. Accordingly, the city sprayed chemicals in its wards and communes in order to kill the mosquitoes and mosquito larva and reduce the risk of dengue fever, provided Chloramine B to control and prevent HFMD and focus on increasing public awareness of the diseases.
