(ĐN)- According to the report of Dong Nai province’s Preventive Healthcare Centre, the number of hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) and dengue fever cases is rapidly increasing last month.
In August alone, 1,200 cases of the two diseases were reported, up 800 cases compared with the previous month.
Since the beginning of this year, Dong Nai recorded 4,496 cases of HFMD with 3 deaths and 4,374 dengue fever cases, including 5 deaths.
The number of HFMD and dengue fever cases are estimated to rise sharply from now till the end of the year due to this is the peak time for the spread of diseases, said Director Cao Trong Nguong of the provincial Preventive Healthcare Centre.
