(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s Elderly People Association has recently launched a campaign entitled “bringing light to the elderly” in the 2012-2015 period.
The campaign aims to raise fund to offer free eye check-ups and operations to ethnic minorities, poor and disable old people, and those are living in remote areas.
Over the first seven months, more than VND 1.7 billion was spent to provide free eye check-ups to 95,575 elderly people and surgeries to 1,015 others.
