According to the report of Department of Health, the number of HFMD and dengue fever cases is rapidly increasing since the beginning of the year, threatening to assume epidemic proportions.
In the first seven months, Dong Nai recorded 2,574 cases of HFMD with 3 deaths and 2,411 dengue fever cases, including 5 deaths.
However, HFMD and dengue fever cases rose sharply in August, with 40 HFMD cases recorded every day, the diseases are spreading in nearly 100% communes in the province.
At the working session, Vice Chairman Tri stressed that the province should take effective measures to deal with infected diseases. He also suggested the health sector to be more active in fighting and preventing the diseases.
