(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Veterinary Branch, the province supplied 156,000 doses of blue-ear pig disease vaccines to control the ongoing epidemic.

These vaccines were imported mainly from China and they were tested to make sure that they are suitable for dealing with the virus in the locality.

Vinh Cuu, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Cam My, Thong Nhat, Trang Bom and Dinh Quan districts are being hit by the disease, so the vaccines will help to prevent the spread of the disease to other places.

In the coming time, Dong Nai will continue to allocate its budget to finance vaccinations against the pig disease in affected areas,

Dong Nai now has a total of 1-1.2 million pigs, the country’s largest. According to the department, the disease has been detected in eight provinces – Dien Bien, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Lai Chau, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Bac Lieu and Dong Nai.
