Petechial fever on rise in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- An increasing number of cases of petechial fever have appeared in the southern region, particularly in Dong Nai, with 1,203 cases reported since the beginning of this year.

(ĐN)- An increasing number of cases of petechial fever have appeared in the southern region, particularly in Dong Nai, with 1,203 cases reported since the beginning of this year, up 25.8 percent over the same period last year. The disease has killed one people in the province.

Cases of the fever were on the rise in the province’s 11 districts and city. Children were the most vulnerable group, particularly children aged under 10 years.

The health sector pointed to the need to take drastic measures such as killing mosquitoes and containing small outbreaks to prevent further spread of the disease.
