(ĐN)- Dong Nai saw an increase in the number of volunteers joining the blood donation events, according to the province’s Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation.
In 2011, the province’s blood donation events attracted more than 25,000 blood donors and collect 22,878 blood units, fulfilling 129 of the year’s target, contributing to ease the shortage of blood at local hospitals.
According to the figures, Dong Nai population rate taking part in the campaigns reached nearly 1 percent.
The committee will continue to strengthen its haematology and blood transfusion network to localities to support and carry out blood donation activities effectively.
