Hand-foot-mouth cases drop in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- After efforts to fight the hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), the number of new cases has fallen from 120 to 70 per week since the beginning of May, according to Dong Nai province's Preventive Medicine Centre.

(ĐN)- After efforts to fight the hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), the number of new cases has fallen from 120 to 70 per week since the beginning of May, according to Dong Nai province's Preventive Medicine Centre.

However, the health sector will continue efforts to maintain contact with the most infected areas, provide information on preventive measures and antiseptic medicines to schools and families. Inspection teams will constantly monitor steps taken to prevent and control the spread of the disease in the province.

Since early this year, nearly 1,400 cases have been reported in the province. Two have died from the disease.
