The launch ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of People’s Committee, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga of People’s Council, representatives of departments, agencies and more than 500 students across the province.
As of April 30, around 1,300 HFMD cases were detected in Dong Nai, with two deaths, reported Department of Health.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri asked departments and medical centres to engage more actively in this fight. “Further efforts should be made to raise awareness on preventive measures at households, kindergartens and schools as well as organize training courses to improve the capacity of medical workers to treat the disease in localities,” he said.
