The meeting saw the attendance of Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga of People’s Council, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of People’s Committee, Chairman Vy Van Vu of Fatherland Front and more than 500 medical staffs.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Vy Van Vu acknowledged the healthcare sector’s efforts to overcome difficulties and fulfill its tasks. Accordingly, the province’s healthcare system has gradually expanded, helping residents, especially the poor and policy beneficiaries, to get access to basic services.
He also stressed that the sector should pay more attention to providing primary healthcare services and preventing epidemics spreading far and wide in coming time.
At the meeting, 13 doctors and pharmacist were awarded People’s Doctor and Excellent Doctor titles; 15 collectives and 25 individuals were presented Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merits.
On this occasion, Dong Nai General Hospital, Dong Nai Children Hospital and three individuals including Dr. Huynh Minh Hoan, Director of Health Department, Dr. Huynh Thi Thuan, Former Deputy Director of Health Department, and Dr. Pham Van Dung, Director of Thong Nhat General Hospital received 3rd-class Labour Medal.
