(ĐN)- Thong Nhat district’s Red Cross Chapter has recently cooperated with Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Centre to launch a humanitarian blood donation event.
This socially meaningful event attracted the participation of more than 500 teachers and students from Thong Nhat B high school, state employees and people in Xuan Thanh, Quang Trung and Gia Kiem communes.
264 volunteers were selected to donate blood after conduction the screening tests. Accordingly, 264 blood units were collected and provided to hospitals.
This was the third time Thong Nhat district has organized blood donation program in 2012.
