(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city’s Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donations plans to collect at least 1,200 blood units from now until Feb 29. The city will also organize the Red Spring blood donation festival, the largest of its kind in Dong Nai.
Nhon Trach district’s Red Cross Chapter in cooperation with Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Centre launched a humanitarian blood donation event on Jan 6.
The event attracted the participation of more than 200 students, state employees and local people.
Earlier, Thong Nhat district’s Red Cross Chapter also launched its first blood donation program in 2012. More than 200 volunteers registered to take part in this socially meaningful event; 160 of them were selected to donate blood after conduction the screening tests. Accordingly, 160 blood units were collected and provided to hospitals.
