Bien Hoa makes efforts to control hand-foot-mouth disease

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial Preventive Medicine Centre in coordination with Bien Hoa city’s Medical Center on Sunday provided 15 tons of Chloramine B worth close to VND 2 billion to 25 wards and communes in Bien Hoa city.

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial Preventive Medicine Centre in coordination with Bien Hoa city’s Medical Center on Sunday provided 15 tons of Chloramine B worth close to VND 2 billion to 25 wards and communes in Bien Hoa city. In addition, 40,000 leaflets which explain about hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) and dengue fever, how they are spread, and how they can be treated, will be distributed to every household in the city.

From now until October 30, 2011, Bien Hoa city will intensify the sterilization of kindergartens and provide Chloramine B for families with children under age six across the city to control and prevent HFMD from spreading throughout the city. Bien Hoa will also focus on raising public awareness of the disease.

The city has provided Chloramine B to 5 wards and communes where have already been hit hard by the disease to prevent the spread of the disease.
