Dong Nai plans to implement the project in areas with large numbers of people in the high-risk groups such as Bien Hoa city, Long Khanh town and the four districts of Trang Bom, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach and Xuan Loc.
According to the report from the provincial HIV/AIDS Prevention Centre, the total number of people infected with HIV in Dong Nai has reached 5,725 so far. In the first half of this year alone, 224 people tested positive for HIV and another 115 developed to full-blown AIDS and 59 dead from the incurable disease. The number of HIV-AIDS sufferers in Dong Nai province is currently ranked sixth in the country.
