The Provincial heath sector has issued alert as HFMD is surging in the province. By September 13, the Provincial Preventive Medicine Centre confirmed nearly 4,800 cases of HFMD with 21 fatal instances.
HFMD is speading rapidly in the province while public awareness of the disease is still low despite intensive public information campaigns by local health sector.
At the working session with the Provincial Steering Committee on disease prevention and control, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri urged Party Committees at all level in the province and local authorities to strengthen their abilities to play a leading role in tackling this awful disease.
