(ĐN)- A 1-week-old boy named Le Van Phu Duc with a weight of 2.4 kg from Trang Bom district recently brought to Dong Nai Paediatrics Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Doctors said this infant was admitted the hospital with high fever and respiratory distress syndrome.
On examination, the infant was diagnosed with an inflammation of the peritonaeum and he needed emergency surgery to save his life.
The infant survived after surgical intervention. Now he is gradually recovering and will soon be discharged from hospital.
