(ĐN)- Dong Nai Paediatrics Hospital has confirmed the death of the 13rd child infected with hand-foot-mouth disease.

Vu Tran Xuan An, a two-year- old boy from Tam Hiep ward, Bien Hoa city died 16 hours after being hospitalized on June 9.
More than 700 children have infected with the disease since the beginning of the year with 13 children dead, according to a report from the Provincial Preventive Medicine Centre.
Doctors warned that residents should wash children's hands regularly and clean children's toys and homes with antiseptic solution once a week. They urged parents and teachers of kindergartens to clean toys and floors as well as keep areas hygienic because the disease is caused by a virus and children often like to hold their fingers and toys in their mouth, the disease is easy to transmit.
