Projects connecting the future

At a pivotal moment of entering a new phase of development, with a proactive, pioneering spirit and the aspiration to reach new heights, Dong Nai province has urgently laid the "bricks" to consolidate a solid foundation for a new growth trajectory for the country.

In just the past 5 months, the province has organized 4 simultaneous waves of commencement, groundbreaking, technical traffic opening, and inauguration of a total of more than 30 large-scale projects and works, serving as the focus and driving force for socio-economic development in the coming decades.

Right before the 14th National Party Congress, on January 15, 2026, Dong Nai commenced, broke ground, and technically opened to traffic 7 projects with a total investment of over 50 trillion VND, practically celebrating the upcoming political event of great significance. The focal point is 2 strategically important bridges, serving as crucial links connecting Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City: the 11.6km-long Cat Lai Bridge and the 12km- long Long Hung Bridge, both designed with eight lanes. The event marks a clear movement from responsible, dynamic, creative, disciplined, and orderly efforts, based on close coordination and unified tasks of each locality in accelerating the implementation of transport infrastructure projects for synchronous connectivity and supplementing specific long-term connecting routes, under the direct, close, and decisive guidance of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee. The total preliminary investment for the two bridges is over 18.3 trillion VND and nearly 11.5 trillion VND respectively, using the public-private partnership (PPP) investment model. This shows that the private sector is gradually becoming one of the main pillars in completing a comprehensive and modern regional transport infrastructure network, in line with the spirit of Resolution 68-NQ/TW, dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo on private economic development. This fundamental shift is expected to shorten the roadmap to achieve the breakthrough task of the Resolution of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress on mobilizing, allocating, and effectively using all resources, focusing on developing the infrastructure system, with the capital needed to be mobilized for transport infrastructure in the next 5 years alone reaching nearly 230 trillion VND.

The provincial Party Organization and government directed and managed to accelerate the redrawing of the map of key transport infrastructure and urban infrastructure; affirming a methodical step to shape a new, fast, and sustainable development model for the locality, positioned as an important growth pole for the whole country, along with optimizing the outstanding advantages brought by Long Thanh International Airport, "calculating every inch of land in this core area for urban development," according to the head of the provincial government. The "backbone" of the economy grows stronger when the key transport network clearly takes shape, operating in a multi-polar, multi-axis, and more seamless manner, reducing logistics costs, reorganizing the flow of goods, and enhancing competitiveness when deeply participating in the global supply chain. The emergence of social housing areas meets the workers’ urgent need for long-term "settlement", so that this core workforce can contribute more to the double-digit growth target in 2026 that Dong Nai is committed to achieving at all costs.

The imprint of restructuring, creating sustainable value for this land through new thinking and new approaches, will be even more vibrant and yield greater achievements, as it receives strong motivation from the success of the 14th National Party Congress, coupled with the positive momentum of pioneering in concretizing the resolution that holds special significance, opening up an era of national rise.
