Dong Nai: Over 62,000 delegates follow the live broadcast of the opening session of the 14th National Party Congress

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam officially opened on the morning of January 20. It was attended by 1,586 delegates representing over 5.6 million Party members across the country. The opening ceremony was broadcast live so that officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life nationwide could watch the event.

In Dong Nai province, the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilization said that, according to reports from communes, wards, and agencies across the province, over 62,000 delegates watched the opening ceremony of the 14th National Party Congress this morning at 2,136 viewing points organized by local units.

The Congress bears the theme: “Under the glorious flag of the Party, joining hands and uniting wills to successfully realize the goals of national development to 2030; ensuring strategic autonomy, self-strengthening, and confidence; advancing firmly into the era of national rise for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, affluence, civilization, happiness, and steadily progressing towards socialism.”

The Congress is a significant political event of the country, marking a historic turning point toward the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-2030). The event concentrates the collective will, aspirations, and determination of the entire Party, the people, and the armed forces.

During the live broadcast of the opening session, officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life were able to witness the solemn atmosphere of the Congress. They have high expectations that the 14th National Party Congress will adopt breakthrough policy decisions to create strong momentum for the nation’s faster and more sustainable development, based on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the full utilisation of internal resources and the strength of great national unity.

The officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life also hope that the Congress will elect a new Central Committee characterized by strong moral integrity and strategic outlook to lead the country in realizing its vision to 2030 and 2045, ushering Vietnam into a new phase of development, an era of national rise.
