On January 15, the Dong Nai Provincial Tax Department held a conference to honor 146 corporate and individual taxpayers across the province who well complied with tax policies and laws in 2024. Attending the conference was Nguyen Thi Hoang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee.

Head of the Dong Nai Tax Department Nguyen Toan Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the significant contributions of corporate and individual taxpayers in 2024. He said that in 2024, although the economy still faced many difficulties and challenges, the tax sector remained united and made strong efforts to fulfill the assigned political tasks. Specifically, domestic revenue in 2024 exceeded VND 51.9 trillion, equal to 104% of the 2023 level, accounting for 71% of the local state budget revenue. The success of the province in general, and of the tax sector in particular, had the important contribution of the local business community and individual taxpayers.

In the coming period, with timely direction and support from the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee, along with effective coordination among provincial departments and agencies, and the continued efforts of the business community, entrepreneurs and individual taxpayers to overcome difficulties, this will create strong momentum for the tax sector to accomplish its revenue collection tasks, contributing to further strengthening national financial resources.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility shown by enterprises in the province in fulfilling their tax obligations, contributing together with the province to completing state budget revenue targets. The provincial leaders expressed their hope that in the coming time, enterprises would continue to make efforts, overcome difficulties and be creative in production and business activities, while accompanying the province in implementing tax policies and laws. Moreover, the Dong Nai tax sector needs to continue administrative reforms, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers to properly fulfill their obligations to the State.
On this occasion, 146 taxpayers with good compliance with tax policies and laws in 2024 were commended, including one certificate of merit from the Ministry of Finance, 15 certificates of merit from the General Department of Taxation, and certificates of merit from the Dong Nai Tax Department.
