The 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress concludes successfully

The 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, tenure 2025-2030, concluded successfully after 2 days of working in an urgent, serious, democratic, and highly responsible manner, completing all items of the agenda.

Delivering the closing speech, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Dong Nai National Assembly (NA) Delegation Vu Hong Van affirmed that the success of the Congress resulted from a process of inheriting and promoting achievements over many terms, reflecting the efforts, dedication, and intellect of the entire Party organization and people of all strata in the province. It was also the outcome of creatively applying the Party’s guidelines, orientations and policies to the practical conditions of the province. The results of the Congress embodied the will, desires and aspirations to rise, serving as a great source of encouragement for the Party organization, government and people from all walks of life in Dong Nai to confidently step into a new era.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also emphasized that the Congress took place three months after the merger of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, marking an important turning point in comprehensive restructuring, building a streamlined and modern administration in a land rich in potential, with ample room for growth and outstanding values of  revolutionary tradition, history, and culture. At the same time, it opened a new stage of development with enhanced stature and position, creating breakthroughs in the new era – one of prosperity and affluence.

The Congress had the honor to welcome leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and National Assembly; ministries and Central agencies; representatives of provincial and municipal leaderships; veteran revolutionaries, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, generals of the People’s Army and the People’s Public Security; entrepreneurs, religious dignitaries, and prestigious figures of ethnic minority communities who attended, followed and extended congratulations to the Congress. This was a great source of encouragement for Dong Nai proincial Party Organization to firmly enter a new phase of development.

Recalling the key tasks accomplished during the two-day congress, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that with objectivity, honesty, democracy, frankness and a high sense of responsibility, the Congress reviewed the achievements, identified shortcomings and limitations, and drew lessons learned in leading and implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress over the past five years.

The Congress listened to the instructions of Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, who outlined many important orientations for Dong Nai’s development in the 2025-2030 term.

The agenda of the Congress included 15 thematic reports and 56 presentations from Party organizations under the Provincial Party Committee, of which 12 were delivered directly at the Congress. In addition, at five group discussion sessions, nearly 200 comments contributed to the draft Political Report for submission to the 1st Dong Nai Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and to the draft documents for submission to the 14th National Party Congress in five key areas.

Delegates’ presentations and discussions were lively, democratic and frank, demonstrating collective wisdom and responsibility, affirming the spirit of solidarity, consensus, and strong political determination of the entire Provincial Party Organization in realizing the goal of building Dong Nai into a prosperous, modern and green province.

On that basis, the Congress adopted the Political Report, the Review Report of the Provincial Party Executive Committee’s leadership and direction for the 2020-2025 term, and the Resolution and Action Program for the 2025-2030 term. It also adopted the consolidated report of feedback on the draft documents for submission to the 14th National Party Congress.

At the Congress, the decisions of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on personnel appointments were announced, including the nomination of 68 members to the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, 15 members to the Provincial Party Standing Committee, as well as the positions of Secretary, Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, and members of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission.

Comrade Vu Hong Van affirmed that the success of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure was of special significance, reflecting the strong political determination of the entire Party organization and people of the province. It laid a firm foundation for fulfilling the goals and tasks set out for the next five years.

The Congress called on all cadres, Party members, civil servants, public employees, the armed forces, the business community and the people of all strata in the province to continue promoting the fine traditions of Dong Nai; joining forces with the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term to demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and consensus in building a clean and strong Party organization and political system. The Congress called for stronger efforts to harness the collective strength of the people; to effectively mobilize all resources and seize the golden opportunities for breakthroughs, striving to build Dong Nai into a green, prosperous, civilized and modern province, aiming to meet the basic criteria of a Centrally governed city by 2030.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that immediately after the Congress, all Party organizations subordinate to the Provincial Party organization urgently study, disseminate, and thoroughly communicate the resolution and documents of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, tenure 2025-2030, among all cadres, Party members and people from all social strata. He called for the prompt development and implementation of programs and action plans to quickly put the resolution into practice. In addition, patriotic emulation movements should be launched across the Party, people and armed forces with a determination to successfully realize the goals of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, tenure 2025-2030.
