Hung Thinh commune determined to become a ward

Implementing the two-tier local government model, the Party Organization and people of Hung Thinh commune (Dong Nai province) are united, proactively arrange the apparatus organization, and launched many patriotic emulation movements, contributing to improving people's lives and creating a foundation for the commune to soon become a ward.

After the first Hung Thinh Commune Party Congress, 2025-2030 term, the Commune Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01-NQ/DU dated August 16, 2025, identifying a breakthrough goal: Mobilizing all resources to invest in synchronous and modern infrastructure, striving to make Hung Thinh commune a ward in the next few years.

Le Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hung Thinh Commune People's Committee, said: "To bring the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress into reality, the Commune Party Committee developed an action program, implemented it to each cadre and party member, and sought the consensus of people from all social strata."

New development space

Hung Thinh commune was established on the basis of merging the communes of Hung Thinh, Dong Hoa, Trung Hoa, and Tay Hoa. After the merger, Hung Thinh has great advantages for breakthrough development. Some key traffic routes pass through the area such as: National Highway 1, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Ring Road 4, DT772 (Trang Bom - Xuan Loc), DT780B, East-West arterial road... The transportation system connecting with major cities and neighboring areas creates favorable conditions for local economic development. In addition, the people have a tradition of hard work, applying science and technology to agricultural production, and good connections to consumer markets of agricultural products. The economic structure is shifting towards trade, services, urban agriculture, and supporting industries. Many young workers earn stable incomes thanks to working in industrial parks in neighboring areas.

The average per capita income in 2025 is 92.94 million VND, an increase of 30.8% compared to the beginning of the term. It is clear that in recent years, people's lives have improved in all aspects, and people's trust in the local Party committee and government has become even stronger.

Ha Dang Bui, Head of the Fatherland Front Working Committee of Loc Hoa hamlet, Hung Thinh commune, excitedly said: "I feel that the appearance of the countryside is becoming more spacious and renewed. Traffic routes are upgraded with concrete, asphalt, street lights, trees, and a bright - green - clean environment. Many schools, medical stations, and cultural institutions in residential areas have been invested in, serving the people better."

In the past 5 years, Hung Thinh commune has added 26 socialized projects funded by the state budget and people's contributions. The movement "State and people work together" has been widely implemented. The Suoi Dinh road in the old Tay Hoa commune is a typical example. The project "Repairing the road surface, building a drainage ditch along Suoi Dinh road" was approved by the old Trang Bom District People's Committee in Decision No. 5890/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2023, with a total investment of over 14.5 billion VND. The project was accepted and put into use in May 2025. During the implementation of the project, there was great consensus from the people. Many households voluntarily donated land and cleared the site to expand the road and drainage ditch, contributing to creating a bright - green - clean model road.

Under the guidance of the local government, farmers actively apply scientific and technological advances and convert crop and livestock structures, gradually forming specialized farming areas suitable for local soil conditions such as: durian, green-skinned pomelo, bananas, cashews, cocoa... bringing high economic efficiency. Previously, farmers had a habit of small-scale, fragmented production, but now they participate in cooperatives to exchange experiences and share new production methods. There are currently 9 agricultural product consumption linkage chains in the commune. A typical example is the cocoa linkage chain in the old Trung Hoa commune. Accordingly, the Cocoa Cooperative has 58 participating households, with a total area of nearly 65ha. It signed contracts on product consumption at stable selling prices, gradually changing the lives of many farming households.

Driven by the aspiration to make a breakthrough

With the collective efforts of the entire political system, in the 2020-2025 term, Hung Thinh commune has completed 15 out of 18 urban ward standards. In the next 5 years, the commune strives to complete the remaining 3 standards, including: public green space (parks, flower gardens, playgrounds) for people to relax, entertain, and exercise; the percentage of the population supplied with centralized clean water; and the density of main drainage pipes.

Le Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Hung Thinh Commune People's Committee, said: "To complete the urban ward standards, the Commune People's Committee will review and adjust land use planning, and build green parks. Priority will be given to investing in expanding arterial roads, upgrading internal roads and residential roads synchronously with lighting systems, drainage, and tree planting. We will continue to launch the 'State and people work together' movement, mobilizing the maximum strength of the people in investing in rural infrastructure development. At the same time, we will focus on developing urban agriculture, applying high technology associated with building linkage chains and OCOP product brands."

In the coming time, Hung Thinh commune will implement the Project to upgrade the centralized water supply system in Trung Hoa commune and the old Hung Thinh commune. At the same time, businesses will be invited to invest in the branch pipeline system, increasing the percentage of households supplied with centralized clean water. Projects for the main drainage system will be implemented, synchronized with planning, and more trees will be planted along main roads. In addition, detailed 1/500 planning projects will be developed for the administrative center, market, and commercial-service area; investment in social housing and apartments for workers will be encouraged. Urban embellishment will be enhanced, land funds will be planned and allocated, and socialization will be mobilized to invest in parks, creating green spaces for the community.

Bringing resolutions into practice

The Hung Thinh Commune Party Congress clearly defined the overall goals, tasks, and solutions, especially breakthrough areas in the coming period. Among them, the main goal is to continuously improve the material and spiritual lives of the people. With the motto of acting decisively, quickly, and effectively to bring resolutions into life, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hung Thinh commune clearly assigned responsibilities to each cadre, party member, and hamlet party cell, strengthening coordination with the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and the people. At the same time, the progress of projects will be publicly and transparently disclosed for all people to participate in monitoring and consensus.

According to Do Ngoc Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Thinh commune, in the next term, the Commune Party Committee will strengthen leadership and direction in applying information technology to resolve administrative procedures, improve service quality, and bring satisfaction to the people. Digital transformation will be promoted, and science and technology will be applied to create momentum for local economic growth.

In the 2025-2030 term, Hung Thinh commune strives to complete several important targets:

The average annual growth rate of total product value in the area will reach 11.5-12%. Average per capita income per year by 2030 will reach over 123 million VND, and the multidimensional poverty rate for the 2026-2030 period will be below 0.5%. Annually, efforts will be made to admit new party members to meet the targets assigned by the province; over 90% of party cells, grassroots Party organizations, affiliated party cells, and the Commune Party Committee will achieve good performance.

To successfully implement socio-economic development goals, the Hung Thinh Commune Party Committee determined that it must always focus on Party building and a clean and strong political system. The effectiveness and efficiency of State management will be enhanced, and the role of the Fatherland Front, political-social organizations, and the people's right to mastery will be promoted. Regulations on social supervision, criticism, and contributions to Party and government building will be well implemented.

After many years of waiting, in July 2025, about 300 households in Group 2, Quang Da hamlet, Hung Thinh commune, had tap water pipes extended to their homes.
