On the morning of October 6, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and promoting the tradition of “loving others as oneself,” as well as the appeal from the VFF Committee of Dong Nai province, many agencies and units across the province organized donation drives during the Monday morning flag-raising ceremony to support people in provinces and cities affected by storm No.10 (Bualoi).
*On October 6, during the flag-raising ceremony, the Management Board of the State Office Building of Dong Nai province launched a campaign to raise donations in support of central residents overcoming the aftermath of storm No.10.

The ceremony was attended by comrades including Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee; Le Truong Son, Standing Member of the PPC and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; the PPC members and Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Ha, Nguyen Thi Hoang, and Nguyen Kim Long; along with leaders of offices and departments under the bloc such as the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People’s Council, the Party Committee Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Justice, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Target Security Police Unit.

Deputy Chief of the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Thi Da Thao called on all officials, civil servants, and employees working in the building to uphold the spirit of “solidarity and compassion”, “the intact leaf covers the torn leaf”, to help storm-affected people overcome hardships and soon stabilize their lives. All donations will be consolidated and publicly announced by the end of the day before being transferred to competent authorities for prompt delivery to affected communities. This meaningful activity demonstrates the sense of responsibility and solidarity of Dong Nai’s officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers toward people in storm-hit areas.

In recent years, the Party organization, government, enterprises, mass organizations, and individuals in Dong Nai have continuously shown their solidarity and compassion for people across the country through timely relief drives helping residents in the Central and Northern provinces overcome the impacts of natural disasters.

At the same time, during the flag-raising ceremony on October 6, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai VFF Committee Ha Anh Dung together with Vice Chairpersons of th Dong Nai VFF Nguyen Tat Do, Nguyen Tan Phu, Luu Thi Ha, and officials, civil servants, employees of the office and professional departments also donated to support people in provinces and cities hit by the storm No.10.

According to Secretary of the Party Cell and Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai VFF Luu Thi Ha, responding to the call from the Presidium of the VFF Central Committee, the provincial VFF Committee has issued an official appeal urging all people to contribute to helping residents in affected provinces and cities overcome damages caused by storm No.10.

Through this campaign, many individuals, agencies, and organizations in the province have made valuable contributions both in kind and in cash.
Joining the province-wide movement, the provincial VFF leadership along with officials, civil servants, and staffs from its Office and professional departments, contributed more than VND 15 million in support of people affected by the storm and floods.

Also on the morning of October 6, during the flag-raising ceremony, the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission (PMMC) organized a donation drive to support residents in localities affected by storm No.10.

In response to the call of the Presidium of the VFF Central Committee and the Provincial VFF, the PMMC encouraged all its officials, civil servants and staff to uphold the spirit of solidarity and compassion, joining hands to share difficulties with those affected by the storm. On behalf of the Provincial leadership, comrade Le Thi Thai also extended heartfelt sympathy to officials and employees with family members living in storm-stricken areas.

Immediately after the appeal, all officials and employees of the PMMC voluntarily contributed. The raised funds will be transferred to the Provincial VFF for quick delivery to the affected people.

*On the same morning, the Dong Nai Confederation of Labor (DNCL) held a ceremony to launch a donation campaign in support of residents affected by storm No.10.

Addressing the ceremony, Member of the PPC, Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF and Chairman of the DNCL Nguyen Quoc Dung said that storm No.10 had caused severe human and material losses in the Central and Northern provinces. Among those affected were relatives of workers currently working in Dong Nai. Responding to the Provincial VFF’s appeal, the DNCL organized this drive calling upon all officials, members, and workers in affiliated units and enterprises to join hands in contributing to the relief effort.

In response to that spirit, officials and civil servants of the DoFA joined hands to raise funds in support of people in the Central region affected by the storm. At the Monday morning flag-raising ceremony on October 6, in response to the call from the Central Committee of the VFF to support Northern and Central provinces in overcoming the damage caused by storms and floods, the leadership of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DoST) called on all its officials, civil servants, and workers to actively contribute to helping people in affected provinces and cities recover from the aftermath of storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

This activity aims to promote the nation’s long-standing tradition of solidarity and the spirit of “solidarity and compassion” According to the DoST, through the donation event, officials, civil servants and employees of the department contributed more than VND 16 million. The DoST will transfer the entire amount to the Dong Nai VFF Committee, which will then deliver it to residents in storm-affected areas as soon as possible.
