MoFA working delegation pays a working visit to Dong Nai DoFA

On the afternoon of September 11, a working delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) led by Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO Nguyen Minh Vu visited and worked with the Dong Nai Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA)

Attending the working session was Member of Dong Nai Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang.

Reporting to the delegation, Director Huynh Thi Be Nam of the DoFA said that with the close attention and guidance of the MoFA, the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, Dong Nai’s external relations activities have become increasingly substantive and effective, contributing to expanding international cooperation and promoting the province’s socio-economic development.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang expressed her gratitude for the MoFA’s attention and requested continued support and guidance for the DoFA in professional work, especially in international cooperation, border management, and citizen protection to help Dong Nai improve the effectiveness of its foreign affairs activities in the coming time.

Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and sense of responsibility of the leadership and officials  and civil servants of the DoFA, who quickly stabilized their organization after the merger of two provinces, overcame initial difficulties, and successfully fulfilled assigned tasks.

Vu emphasized that the province’s foreign affairs must be closely linked with its socio-economic development goals; local diplomacy should be carried out flexibly and creatively, identifying it as a key task in maintaining peaceful, friendly, and cooperative borders for joint development. The Department should proactively leverage the province’s potential and strengths to promote economic diplomacy and expand international cooperation.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu also welcomed the idea of the DoFA to sign cooperation agreements with Vietnamese representative missions abroad, viewing it as a positive direction to enhance the effectiveness of connectivity, promote the province’s potential and attract investment.

The working visit of Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu and the working delegation marked a significant event, contributing to further strengthening the close relationship between the MoFA and Dong Nai province, while creating new momentum for the local foreign affairs sector to continue innovating and promoting its role in the process of international integration, serving the province’s sustainable development goals.
