This school year is expected to create breakthroughs, contributing to enhancing the position of provincial education.

Proactively implementing the new preschool education program

One of the key tasks for preschool education this school year is preparing the necessary conditions to pilot the new Preschool Education Program in 2026-2027. The sector will focus on mobilizing resources and strengthening the capacity of teachers at the selected pilot institutions.

In the 2025-2026 period, preschools will promote the integration of nutrition education with physical activities to ensure the balanced development of children, while providing both indoor and outdoor environments for daily activities. Additional topics such as human rights, gender education, traffic safety, self-protection skills, and environmental protection will also be effectively incorporated. The sector will continue to focus on developing preschools in industrial parks and export processing zones, enabling workers' children to access quality education.

According to Principal Truong Thi Van of Hoa Hue Kindergarten in Binh Phuoc ward, the school's top priority remains mobilizing five-year-old children to attend school, implementing universal preschool education for three-year-olds, and achieving the set targets. The school's staff and facilities are adequate to maintain all activities for the new school year. While the school still lacks equipment for smart classrooms, 100% of its classes are equipped with televisions and internet access. The school has also provided sufficient learning materials and toys to ensure teaching and learning quality.

Nguyen Thi Kim Hue, Principal of Sao Khue Kindergarten in Trang Dai ward, said the school has proactively trained teachers in-house and through exchanges with other schools in and outside the province to prepare for the new Preschool Education Program. The school leaders regularly learns from advanced international models and methods to adapt them to its own conditions. Thanks to this, the teachers are able to proactively adopt and adjust teaching methods in line with the Ministry of Education and Training's orientations.

The first school year of a “new era”

In general education, the key task is to continue effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program across primary, secondary, and high school levels. Dong Nai's education sector will expand two-session-a-day classes at primary schools and at secondary schools that meet the necessary conditions. At the same time, it will enhance quality assurance, expand the school network, build more national-standard schools, and invest in new boarding schools, following modern models, in border communes. The sector will also ensure the rational allocation of teaching staff and coordinate with local authorities to strengthen grassroots-level education management in the context of administrative boundary adjustments and the implementation of the two-tier local government model.

Universities and colleges across the province are also proactively renewing their teaching and learning methods. Dang Anh Tuan, Acting Deputy Principal of Dong Nai University (Tam Hiep ward), shared with enthusiasm: "The 2025–2026 academic year carries special significance. It marks the first year of nationwide implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, dated August 22, 2025, on breakthrough development in education and training. The resolution identifies higher education as a strategic breakthrough area, calls for expanded institutional autonomy, prioritizes investment in excellence, and aims to build a modern, high-quality education system, with the goal of having many Vietnamese universities meet international standards by 2045."

Also in 2025, the country is entering the "Era of Vietnam's Rise" - a period marked by aspirations for prosperity and happiness, as the Party, the people, and the armed forces unite in their determination to make Vietnam a modern, industrialized, upper-middle-income country by 2030, and a developed, high-income nation by 2045.

"In this historical flow and aspiration, Dong Nai University is proud to be part of the education mission and human resource training for both the province and the country. For the 2025-2026 school year, the university is committed to improving training quality under national accreditation standards, opening new programs aligned with socio-economic development needs, enhancing research, innovation, and international cooperation, while building a modern, friendly, and humanistic learning environment centered on learners," Tuan affirmed.

Promoting confidence – creativity – responsibility

The 2025-2026 academic year begins in the proud historical spirit and the nation's aspiration to rise. I hope students will promote the spirit of confidence, creativity, and responsibility, turning aspiration into action, studying and training to the best of their abilities to become outstanding citizens, contributing to the nation's construction and defense. Every lesson you learn today is not only preparation for your personal career but also a meaningful contribution to the country's rise.

Dr. Dang Anh Tuan, Acting Deputy Principal of Dong Nai University

At Lac Hong University in Tran Bien ward, the school has outlined its key tasks for 2025-2026: innovating training programs, improving higher education quality, promoting digital transformation and technology use in teaching, strengthening faculty and management staff, fostering research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and expanding international cooperation to enhance Vietnam's education profile.

In addition, Lac Hong University will continue to reform accreditation and quality assurance, develop an open and lifelong learning system, strengthen university autonomy and governance, enhance student support and education services, and promote green and sustainable higher education.

The 2025-2026 academic year marks a pivotal turning point as the beginning of a new phase of transformative growth for the education sector. With strong determination from provincial leaders, educators, and students, Dong Nai's education system is well-positioned to achieve further success and contribute meaningfully to the province's overall development.
