Dong Nai provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure slated for December 2025

According to the Dong Nai Labor Confederation, the unit has just rolled out a plan to organize Trade Union Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 tenure, leading up to the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, tenure 2026-2031, to the grassroots Trade Unions.

According to the plan, commune- and ward-level Trade Unions will hold their congresses for the 2025-2030 tenure and complete them before October 31, 2025. The Trade Unions of Sonadezi Corporation, Dofico Corporation, grassroots Trade Unions, and grassroots labor unions will conduct their congresses or meetings and complete them before December 31, 2025.

For grassroots Trade Unions and grassroots labor unions with fewer than 200 members, if they do not meet the conditions to organize a congress, they will hold a plenary meeting or an expanded Executive Committee Conference. Units assigned delegates to participate in the Provincial Trade Union Congress will hold their congresses earlier than scheduled.

Each official congress or conference will not exceed one session, and is encouraged to combine with the unit’s or enterprise’s 2025 trade union year-end review.

The first Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure will be held immediately after the Provincial VFF Congress and must be completed before December 31, 2025. The Congress will not exceed two sessions.

Regarding the size of the Trade Union Executive Committees at different levels: grassroots Trade Union and grassroots labor unions will elect a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 25 members (depending on the number of members in each unit); corporation-level trade unions will elect 27 members; commune- and ward-level trade unions will elect a minimum of 11 and a maximum of 19 members (depending on the number of members in each unit). For the Provincial Labor Confederation, the maximum number of members is 45 members.

According to the Dong Nai Labor Confederation, Trade Union congresses at all levels mark a fundamental shift in the organizational model in the new era. They will promptly concretize the Party’s directives and resolutions, as well as the State’s policies and laws, into Trade Union Congress resolutions. The congresses are major political events under the motto: Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development.

The Trade Union congresses are tasked with reviewing and evaluating the implementation of resolutions from the previous tenure, setting out orientations for the new tenure, revising and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, and electing new Executive Committees. The Trade Union congresses must continue to innovate in content and form toward practicality and efficiency, focusing on quality, saving time and costs, and ensuring progress.
