Dong Nai justice sector celebrates 80th traditional day

On August 21, the Dong Nai Department of Justice (DoJ) held its first congress in honour of advanced examples for the 2025-2030 period; a gathering to mark the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese justice sector (August 28, 1945 –2025) and the 43rd founding anniversary of the Provincial justice sector (1982-2025).

Attending and speaking at the event was Le Thi Thanh Loan, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of Dong Nai Women’s Union.

The conference was an occasion for officials, civil servants and public employees of the department to look back on the 80-year tradition of the Vietnamese justice sector and 43 years of building and development of the Dong Nai justice sector. It also reviewed emulation movements and commendation work for the 2021-2025 period, and set out directions and tasks for 2025-2030, especially in implementing judicial duties at the commune level under the two-tier local government model.

During 2021-2025 period, the DoJ successfully completed its tasks, provided legal consultation in many important cases, contributing to institutional improvement, socio-economic development, public security maintenance, and administrative reform. The sector also effectively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee on state management, particularly amid the streamlining of the administrative apparatus.

Officials, civil servants, public employes and employees of the Provincial justice sector have joined emulation in implementing office culture and building new-style rural areas, helping raise the proportion of communes meeting legal access standards up to over 95%.

Especially, the sector has received the Government’s Emulation Flag for four consecutive years, the First-Class Emulation Flag from the Provincial People’s Committee, and a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the conference, Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Women’s Union Le Thi Thanh Loan urged the Provincial justice sector to continue consolidating its organizational structure to ensure efficiency; promote practical and effective emulation and commendation activities; accelerate administrative reform, IT application, and digital transformation in management and operations; apply modern technology in each specialized unit; provide fast and convenient public services for citizens and businesses; and improve the quality of handling administrative procedures to enhance public satisfaction.

On this occasion, the DoJ commended advanced typical examples, including three collectives and 15 individuals, for 2021-2025 period. It also launched a campaign to raise fund in support of the Cuban people, responding to the program “65 years of Vietnam-Cuba solidarity” initiated by the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
