Da Kia aspires to make breakthroughs on a solid foundation

On the morning of August 15, the first official session of the 1st Congress of the Da Kia Commune Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure was held, with the participation of 152 delegates representing more than 624 Party members across the entire commune Party organization. Dương Minh Dung, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Long Thanh Commune People’s Council, attended and delivered a directive speech.

Also in attendance were: Tran Tue Hien, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and former Chairwoman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of departments, agencies and sectors; Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi No; and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Vo Thi Hien.

Da Kia Commune was established on the basis of merging three communes : Da Kia, Phuoc Minh and Binh Thang with a total area of more than 196.2 square kilometers and a population of over 31,000.

During the 2020–2025 tenure, despite many challenges, the commune’s Party Committee and residents achieved remarkable results. Party building work was given comprehensive attention, with 74 new Party members admitted, fulfilling 100% of the target set.

Agriculture remained stable and incorporated advances in science and technology to boost productivity of crops and livestock. The commune met all 19 out of 19 criteria for new-style rural development. The poverty rate fell to 0.62%, and the people’s living standards improved markedly. National defense and security were firmly maintained, with a solid “people’s defense posture” ensuring a stable environment for development.

The action motto for the new tenure, as clearly defined by the Da Kia Commune Party Committee, is: “Solidarity, democracy, discipline, responsibility, development.” This serves not only as a compass for building a clean, streamlined and efficient political system, but also as a guide to sustainable socio-economic growth. In particular, emphasis will be placed on accelerating economic restructuring toward modern agriculture in combination with industry and services, improving living standards for residents, and ensuring firm national defense and security.

Besides, the Da Kia Commune Party Committee has also identified three strategic breakthrough areas to create a strong transformation during 2025–2030: building a contingent of cadres and Party members with integrity, competence, and credibility to meet new-stage requirements; developing transport infrastructure to support socio-economic growth through 2030 with an orientation toward 2040; and decisively implementing digital transformation to ensure an effective and efficient administrative apparatus that meets development needs in the new context.

Delivering his directive speech at the congress, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Long Thanh Commune People’s Council Duong Minh Dung highly commended the outstanding achievements made by Da Kia Commune Party Committee and residents in the past tenure. He urged the locality to build on its solid foundation to achieve a strong breakthrough, develop the economy and society in a modern direction, enhance human resources, promote digital transformation and apply science and technology. Furthermore, he stressed the need to thoroughly understand the functions and tasks of the apparatus in the new period, strengthen great unity, build a people-oriented and efficient government, and ensure national defense and security, toward the goal of comprehensive and sustainable development for Da Kia in the years ahead.

In the context of Vietnam’s strong shift toward a digital economy and deep international integration, Da Kia, driven by the unity and consensus of both the Party Committee and the people, is striving to build a prosperous, comprehensively developed and sustainable homeland. The congress was both a moment to review important achievements and a strategic planning session, laying a firm foundation and opening new opportunities for the commune to continue reaping further successes.
