Bu Dang urged to lead in spreading new models and ideas to neighboring communes

On the afternoon of August 10, the 1st Congress of the Bu Dang Commune Party Committee, tenure 2025-2030, convened its official session. The event was attended by Tran Trung Nhan, Member of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Ho Van Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee; former leaders of old Binh Phuoc Province; representatives of provincial departments, sectors, and localities; along with 220 official delegates representing 1,114 Party members across the commune.

The Bu Dang Commune Party Committee was formed through the merger of the Party Committees of Duc Phong Town, Minh Hung and Doan Ket Communes. Over the past tenure, despite a mix of favorable and challenging conditions, the Party Committee demonstrated strong unity and determination, successfully achieving and surpassing most of its resolution targets.

During 2020-2025, under the motto “the State and the people work together,” the commune invested in nearly 70 kilometers of cement concrete roads worth VND 38 billion, of which VND 13 billion was contributed by local residents. It also repaired three community bridges and built more than 12 kilometers of solar-powered street lighting. From land-use revenues, the commune funded 64 infrastructure works and rural road projects with a total budget of over VND 9.4 billion. To date, the commune has fulfilled all 19 criteria for new-style rural development.

Poverty reduction has been given special attention by the local leadership. Over the past tenure, the commune lifted 62 households out of poverty, achieving 175% of the target set by the resolution.

With the theme “Solidarity, Democracy, Discipline, Breakthrough, Development,” the Bu Dang Commune Party Committee has set 16 key targets and tasks for the 2025-2030 tenure, along with three major breakthrough programs: mobilizing all resources to ensure no poor households remain by the end of the term and cutting the number of near-poor households by half; building an integrated transport network, focusing on inter-regional and inter-village connections; and accelerating digital transformation and administrative reform to build a people-centered government, using citizen and business satisfaction as the benchmark for service quality.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized that after the merger, Bu Dang holds a particularly important position as a driving force for development in the surrounding communes. This requires the Party Committee to adopt a strategic vision, take decisive action, and innovate in leadership and governance.

Commending the ambitious targets and solutions that reflect the strong aspiration for progress among Bu Dang’s Party Committee, government, armed forces, and people, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Ho Van Ha urged the commune to focus on building a truly clean and strong Party organization. He stressed the importance of cadre work, giving priority to young officials, women, ethnic minority cadres, and those with scientific and technical expertise, officials who dare to think, dare to act, and dare to innovate for the common good, and who are capable of applying artificial intelligence and advanced technology in their work.

Offering further suggestions, Vice Chairman Ho Van Ha noted that Bu Dang must take the lead in spreading new models and good ideas to neighboring communes. To achieve this, the commune needs concrete measures incorporated into its planning projects and investment programs, with the goal of becoming a “green urban area” in the future.

Expressing his confidence, Vice Chairman Ho Van Ha said that with its patriotic tradition, unity, and determination to rise, together with the efforts of all officials, Party members, and residents, the Bu Dang Commune Party Committee will successfully fulfill the targets and tasks set for its first congress, contributing to making Dong Nai one of the most developed provinces in the country.
