Attending the event were Provincial Party Committee members: Dieu Huynh Sang, Deputy Head of the Dong Nai National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Thi Xuan Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Phu Rieng Commune, along with leaders of the Party-building committees, departments, sectors and 165 official delegates representing Party members across the commune.

Phu Trung Commune was established through the merger of two commune-level administrative units, namely Phuoc Tan and Phu Trung. The Phu Trung Commune Party Committee currently has 23 grassroots Party cells with a total of 330 members.
In the 2020–2025 tenure, the commune’s average per capita income had reached VND 58 million per year, and then increased up to VND 73 million as of June 2025. Agricultural density accounts for 80%, while industry, trade, and services make up 20% of the economic structure. The average annual growth rate of the industry–trade–services sectors was 16.4%, while agricultural sector grew at an average rate of 5.4% per year.

In 2023, the commune fulfilled all 19 out of 19 criteria and was recognized as meeting the new-style rural commune standards. Science, technology, and digital transformation have seen positive progress, contributing to improving state management efficiency, enhancing production methods, and boosting socio-economic growth.
The education and training sector has received strong investment, with schools’ facilities being upgraded comprehensively, while the quality of teaching and learning has improved. The rates of children entering grade 1, students completing primary school, and students graduating from secondary school all reached 100%. Healthcare services have been effectively implemented, with quality of medical examination and treatment steadily improved. Annually, at least 95% of households and all 12 villages achieve the “Cultural Village” title.

Amid the new context, Phu Trung is determined to build itself into a commune with fast and sustainable development, fully exploiting its potential and advantages in line with new development requirements. The commune aims to foster the private economy, improve people’s living standards, promote administrative reform, accelerate the application of science and technology, encourage innovation, and drive digital transformation across all fields, ultimately achieving the status of an advanced new-style rural commune.
The congress discussed and adopted 23 key targets and tasks for the 2025–2030 tenure, focusing on four priority missions. Among them, the commune eyes an average annual state budget revenue growth rate of 10%, an average annual growth rate of total product value of 10%. By 2030, the commune aims to have no poor households left according to multidimensional poverty standards, and that 100% of its population gets access to hygienic water.
