Speaking at the event, Major General Vu Van Cuong stated that the handover of motorcycles to commune-level Military Commands in Dong Nai would help officers and soldiers better fulfill their tasks.
The handover ceremony took place at a time when the entire country was holding activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). This activity was held to support the armed forces, especially commune-level Military Commands, to operate effectively after the implementation of the two-tier local government model. Across the provinces and cities within the area of Military Region 7, a total of 966 vehicles of various types have been provided. Of these, the Dong Nai provincial Military Command received 190 Honda Wave Alpha motorcycles that will be distributed to commune-level Military Commands for use at the grassroots level.

“These vehicles handed over today are not only material assets but also reflect the attention and support of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense in building and strengthening local armed forces. The event contributes to building an all-people national defense and a strong people-based defence posture in the new period. These motorcycles are more than just means of transportation, they are the ‘firm feet’ helping commune-level military officers overcome difficulties, ensuring quick and timely mobility everywhere, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas, to conduct propaganda, mobilization, and situation monitoring, thereby consolidating the strong ‘people’s heart posture’,” Major General Vu Van Cuong emphasized.
Major General Tran Ngoc Minh urged commune-level Military Commands to properly maintain and use the motorcycles effectively in order to serve assigned tasks.
He particularly stressed the need to operate the vehicles with caution, ensure absolute safety, and regard this as one of the key tasks when using military property for local defense missions.
