Dong Nai’s badminton team secured another gold medal in the mixed doubles event for the 41-45 age group, bringing its total tally to two gold medals and two bronze medals at the 2026 National Badminton Clubs Championship.

On May 10, the 2026 National Badminton Clubs Championship - LI-NING Cup II in Thai Nguyen concluded after eight finals in the doubles events across various age groups.

On the final day of competition, as the only remaining Dong Nai pair in the mixed doubles 41-45 age group final, Pham Tien Dat - Le Thi Thu Thuy excellently defeated the home team pair Nguyen Thanh Trung - Duong Thi Tho with a score of 2-0 (21-8, 21-18) to claim the championship, thereby bringing Dong Nai badminton its second gold medal at the tournament.

This result helped Dong Nai badminton conclude the 2026 National Badminton Clubs Championship with a total of 2 gold medals and 2 bronze medals. The previous gold medal was won by Vietnam's number 1 female player Nguyen Thuy Linh in the women's singles championship group, while the two bronze medals were in the women's doubles championship group by Nguyen Hoang Thien Kim - Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thuy and Dao Khanh Linh - Do Thi Phuong Mai.

The 2026 National Badminton Clubs Championship took place from May 4 to 10, attracting the participation of over 300 athletes and coaches from 30 provinces, cities, and sectors nationwide. Athletes competed in 5 age groups, including: Championship group (men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles). For age groups from 31-40, 41-45, 46-50, and 51-55, they competed in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
