During the 2026 New Year holiday, all 95 communes and wards across Dong Nai have organized vibrant cultural, entertainment, and sports activities.
These activities not only honor the traditional cultural values and identity of the Dong Nai region but also contribute to improving the spiritual life of people from all social strata during the festive season.
Attractive cultural and entertainment activities
The 2026 New Year holiday holds special significance for Binh Phuoc ward in particular and other localities throughout the province in general, as Binh Phuoc ward has just implemented the 2-tier local government model. Therefore, the entertainment activities organized are not only rich in content but also ensure scale, quality, and widespread appeal. One of the highlights is that Binh Phuoc ward coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize an art program to welcome the new year combined with artistic flare gun shooting on the evening of December 31, 2025.

In addition, Binh Phuoc ward will also organize a Food Festival and an artistic program on January 10, 2026, to celebrate the upcoming anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and the 2026 Lunar New Year of the Horse, at Binh Phuoc Ward Square with the theme "United Spring - Loving Tet"; organized the Binh Phuoc Ward Children's Dance Groups’ Festival on January 11, 2026…
Hoang Thuy Vu, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Ward People's Committee, said: "The organization of cultural and artistic activities during the 2026 New Year holiday aims to create an atmosphere of excitement and solidarity among people from all social strata, awakening the spirit of innovation and aspiration for development right from the beginning of 2026. These activities thus contribute to building Binh Phuoc ward to be increasingly civilized, friendly, and compassionate, worthy of its role as the northern central area of Dong Nai province."
Similarly, Tran Bien ward also simultaneously organized a series of cultural, sports, and fireworks programs to welcome the 2026 New Year. Among them, Tran Bien ward organized a comprehensive art show; and simultaneously launched mid-range fireworks to welcome the new year on the evening of December 31, 2025, on the Dong Nai riverside road (from Hoa An bridge in Tran Bien ward to the border of Tan Trieu ward). In addition, at Bien Hung Park, Tran Bien ward also hosted cultural and sports competitions, book exhibitions, food stalls, and folk games from December 25, 2025, to the end of January 1, 2026.
To celebrate the new year, Tam Hiep ward organized the 2026 Culture Week, taking place from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, at Duong Tu Giang Park with diverse activities. Specifically: Expanded Lion - Dragon - Unicorn Festival; School Dance Competition; Martial Arts Music Festival Night; taking photos with the national flag; the "Flow of Memories" Exhibition; screening the movie "Red Rain" for the public… Especially, on the evening of December 31, 2025, Tam Hiep ward organized an artistic light show and flare gun shooting to welcome the new year 2026.
On December 16, Comrade LE TRUONG SON, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, issued a Notice on the conclusion of the organization of cultural, artistic, and sports activities to celebrate the New Year 2026. Accordingly, the People's Committees of communes and wards closely coordinated with the Provincial Public Security and the Provincial Military Command in ensuring security and order, fire prevention and fighting during the New Year 2026 activities; ensuring safety in receiving, preserving, transporting, and installing fireworks. The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to monitor and support the People's Committees of communes, wards, agencies, and units in organizing activities to welcome New Year 2026.
In communes with a large ethnic minority population such as Dak Nhau, Tho Son, Dong Tam, Thanh Son, Ta Lai…, this New Year, localities continue to organize some practical cultural activities suitable for the actual conditions. Not only creating a joyful atmosphere to welcome the new year, but the communes also focus more on preservation, promote the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities, through cultural, artistic, and mass sports programs, creating conditions for all people to participate in. In addition, communes also integrate activities of giving gifts and encouraging poor households, near-poor households, and policy families.
For Dong Nai Art Theater, in addition to staging performances for the people in communes and wards in celebration of the 2026 New Year, the unit also streams integrated art programs online; at the same time, serving the audience with the Cai Luong play "The Bell" (Hoi Chuong). Dong Nai Museum, in particular, displays and introduces the 360-degree virtual reality exhibition "Ma Ethnic Culture in Dong Nai" on the unit's website and fanpage.
Promoting visual propaganda and film screenings for the people
Nguyen Ngoc Yen, Director of Dong Nai Museum, said: "The unit has been and is implementing the design for Tet decoration within the museum's premises and at the Tran Bien Temple of Literature relic with the aim of creating a landscape and atmosphere for people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet. In parallel, the unit promotes the embellishment of historical-cultural relics; coordinates with relevant units to organize Bien Hoa pottery experiences on the occasion of the 2026 New Year."
According to Do Thi Hong, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Culture - Cinema Center, to celebrate the upcoming anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and the 2026 Lunar New Year, the unit is strengthening visual propaganda with the decoration of flags and flowers, erecting billboards and banners to welcome on main roads, central areas, and residential areas. At the same time, it organizes a mobile propaganda campaign, performing arts to serve the people at the grassroots with the theme "Homeland on a new day", integrating content to propagate drug prevention, prostitution prevention, ensuring food safety, contributing to raising community awareness during holidays and Tet.
In particular, the center's 7 mobile film screening teams continue to organize film screenings to serve people in remote areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, industrial park workers, and boarding houses. The selected films have rich content such as: Red rain, Swallows return, Miraculous remedy, The legend of the first scholar's flower... suitable for many audiences, meeting the spiritual and cultural enjoyment needs of the people in the early days of the new year.
To ensure that the 2026 New Year celebration activities take place smoothly, the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism strengthens inspection and examination of cultural, sports and tourism activities and services, especially festival organizing activities at historical and cultural relics, tourist areas and spots, and religious establishments. The People's Committees of communes and wards in the province have coordinated with relevant units, departments, and sectors to strengthen security and order, and traffic flow on roads..., thereby creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to immerse themselves in the vibrant and meaningful atmosphere of welcoming the new year.
