Accordingly, the ward is organizing a series of activities to welcome the New Year 2026 at Duong Tu Giang Park, aiming to create fresh momentum and renewed inspiration radiating from a dynamic central ward of the province, which is ready to enter a new era of national rise.

Urgent and practical preparations

Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Council of Tam Hiep ward, said that to meet growing demand for cultural activities and healthy recreation, and to create a joyful and optimistic atmosphere reflecting public confidence in Tam Hiep’s development achievements in 2025, the ward is mobilizing all available resources to realize plans for a series of activities celebrating the Party and welcoming Spring 2026.

With an impressive schedule of cultural, sports, and historical education events running from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, the locality is striving to create a meaningful community space that meets the increasing cultural needs of its residents.

From December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, Duong Tu Giang Park will host a daily cultural and artistic event closely linked to the local historical and political context. These activities aim to spread strong motivation inspired by the country’s and Dong Nai province’s socio-economic achievements, while reflecting aspirations to join the nation in pursuing prosperity, well-being, and happiness for all people in the new era.

At Duong Tu Giang Park, the main venue for the event series, work is underway at a rapid pace. This year, the ward People’s Committee is focusing on creating clearly defined functional zones, ranging from performance stages to historical experience spaces, exhibitions, and book fairs.

The organization of the event series is currently being carried out with close coordination among state management agencies, political organizations, and mass associations within the ward. Each assigned unit has proactively developed its own implementation plan to ensure synchronized timing and effective service delivery.

Luu Thi Hang, Vice Chairwoman of the Tam Hiep Ward People’s Committee, said: “This year’s event series not only features performances and artistic programs, but also provides an opportunity to review the ward’s socio-economic development achievements in 2025. Preparations are now in the final stage, ready to offer residents a meaningful, safe, and pride-filled New Year holiday.”

A vibrant and meaningful series of events celebrating New Year 2026

The 2026 Countdown series also aims to promote Tam Hiep Ward's image as a modern, dynamic, and culturally rich area.

Specifically, from December 24 to 26, 2025, the Dong Nai Provincial Lion and Dragon Dance Clubs Championship for the Tam Hiep Cup will kick off the series, drawing strong interest from enthusiasts of martial arts and traditional performing arts.

This occasion will be followed by programs dedicated to children and youth, such as “School Dance Moves” on December 27 and 28, and “Martial Arts and Music Night” on December 29. These activities reflect the locality’s attention to creating a safe and dynamic environment for younger generations.

One of the key activities receiving in-depth investment from the ward authorities is the screening of the film Mua Do (Red Rain) on the evening of December 30. Unlike conventional film screenings, the ward has designed a comprehensive experiential program to help viewers fully grasp the historical value and significance of the film.

Before the screening, people from all walks of life, including students, youth, and representatives of local organizations, will participate in incense-offering and candle-lighting ceremonies at Tan Hiep Prison. Following this, they will take part in a route titled “Flow of Memories,” featuring historical milestones and artifacts presented with detailed explanations by guides. In addition, introductory reenactments before the screening will help viewers, especially students, better understand the sacrifices made by earlier generations to achieve the independence and peace we enjoy today.

Notably, on the night of December 31, the Countdown event will feature a music festival with performances by well-known singers, accompanied by visually striking artistic light shows, which will help elevate the scale of the ward's New Year’s Eve celebration.

New Year flag-raising ceremony: conveying trust and aspirations

Alongside vibrant cultural and artistic activities, on the first day of 2026, the Ward People’s Committee will hold a solemn and meaningful event in honor of the nation: a New Year flag-raising ceremony, taking place at 7 a.m. on January 1, 2026, at Duong Tu Giang Park.

All officials, civil servants, workers, and residents of the ward will salute the national flag and sing the national anthem. Notably, a 100-square-meter national flag will be raised by a cluster of colorful hot air balloons, creating a sacred atmosphere filled with national pride, trust, and aspirations for growth in the very first moments of the new year.

A special highlight of the ceremony is the participation of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The ward has coordinated to include a sign-language version of the national anthem in the ceremony. Their strong desire to "sing" the anthem in sign language not only reflects national pride but also affirms the community’s deep care, inclusion, and shared responsibility in supporting them to integrate and contribute.

Vice Chairwoman Luu Thi Hang added that immediately after the flag-raising ceremony, the ward will release 328 doves into the sky.

“The number 328 symbolizes the 328-year history of formation and development of the Bien Hoa – Dong Nai land. The flag-raising ceremony combined with the release of doves is not only a ritual to mark the start of the new year, but also conveys the wishes of local authorities and residents for a peaceful, safe, and happy 2026 for everyone,” she said.
