On the evening of October 14, the 2025 National Swimming and Diving Championship, co-organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association, concluded at the National Sports Complex's Aquatic Sports Palace (Hanoi) after the finswimming events finished.
At the end of the championship, Dong Nai athlete Vu Dang Nhat Nam shone, contributing 6 of the 7 gold medals won by the Dong Nai finswimming team this year, with 4 individual events. This result helped the Dong Nai finswimming team rank second overall with 7 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.
Among them, Vu Dang Nhat Nam claimed gold in four individual events: men's 50m, 100m, 200m, and 400m bi-fins. In addition, the Dong Nai swimmer and his teammates secured two more golds in relay events. Nhat Nam, together with Le Thi Thanh Tuyen, Nguyen The Duong, and Tran Thi Hoai Thuong, won gold in the Mixed 4x100m bi-fins – monofin relay. Nhat Nam also teamed up with Nguyen Le Truyen Dat, Le Thi Thanh Tuyen, and Thach Thi Diem My to win gold in the Mixed 4x100m bi-fins relay.
In addition to contributing to 2 gold medals in relay events, Le Thi Thanh Tuyen also won 1 gold medal in women's 100m bi-fins and 1 silver medal in women's 50m bi-fins. Meanwhile, Nguyen Le Truyen Dat won three silver medals (men's 100m, 200m, and 400m bi-fins) after his teammate, Nhat Nam. The remaining bronze medal in women's 200m bi-fins went to Thach Thi Diem My.
Ho Chi Minh City led the entire delegation with 8 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze medals, and Hanoi ranked third with 5 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze medals. Da Nang also won 5 gold medals but had fewer silver medals, ranking fourth.
The 2025 National Swimming and Diving Championship took place from October 4 to 14, drawing 250 athletes from 20 sports delegations representing provinces, cities, and sectors across the country. The swimming competition featured 105 athletes, while finswimming attracted 145 athletes competing in various events.
