Many models, projects, and activities have been implemented with socialized resources, contributing to building a united, civilized community, and improving the spiritual and physical lives of the people.

Socialization promotes the development of culture and sports

Since the implementation of the 2-tier local government model, the movement to socialize cultural and sports activities in Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province, has been concretized with many practical projects. Prominent among them is the project to renovate and embellish the welcome gate of Long Binh park, creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape highlight, contributing to building a civilized urban area. In addition, the ward also implemented the Project to upgrade the welcome gate at Amata intersection and built a public sports training area with a total socialized cost of about 300 million VND. These projects have been and are creating more space for cultural activities and physical training for the people.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huong, Secretary of the Party cell and Head of Quarter 25, Tam Hiep ward, said: In addition to mobilizing people to participate in embellishing the welcome gate and renovating signboards, the quarter also called on benefactors to support additional gifts for disadvantaged families. These actions demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility of the people in the construction of a civilized and modern urban area.

Along with investment from the budget, at cultural houses in the province, people also actively contribute to building and equipping facilities such as: speakers, amplifiers; and sports training equipment.

In Hang Gon ward, the sports training movement is maintained enthusiastically with 1 large football field, 1 mini football field, 12 volleyball and badminton courts, and 16 regular art and sports clubs. In Phu Ly commune, the sports facility system is also synchronously invested with 1 large football field, 1 artificial football field, 9 volleyball courts in the hamlets, and 1 multi-purpose badminton house, serving the training needs of people of all ages.

Pham Thi Thanh Hien, Deputy Head of the Sports Management Department, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: In recent times, Dong Nai sports has mobilized many socialized resources to invest in facilities and organize activities; mobilizing businesses and benefactors to support equipment, prizes, and coaches for clubs. In particular, programs on safe swimming skills, and child drowning prevention, and the project to develop the physical strength and stature of Vietnamese people have been effectively implemented, attracting thousands of students to participate in each year.

Many communes and wards in the province also strive to socialize the investment in book titles to respond to the Lifelong learning movement in cultural institutions. In Thuan Loi commune, Dong Nai province, the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space projects were put into use through the joint efforts of union members, youth, and people in donating books and documents, along with the support of the Provincial Library donating hundreds of books. Or in communes such as Tri An, Tan An, Phu Ly, and Tan Trieu ward, Dong Nai province, the Intellectual house model has been implemented and replicated in cultural institutions. This model attracts people and businesses to contribute dozens of thousands of books, hundreds of tables and chairs, and learning equipment to serve the needs of reading, learning, and community activities.

The entire province currently maintains over 2,000 grassroots sports clubs, teams, and groups, with diverse types from football, badminton, volleyball, martial arts, Qigong exercises, yoga, aerobics, etc., suitable for all ages. Thanks to this, the percentage of people regularly participating in physical exercise and sports in Dong Nai reached 41.2% of the population, and the percentage of sports families reached 28%.

Encouraging the engagement of people and businesses

Besides good models and effective methods, socialization efforts in some places still face many difficulties. The area of some neighborhood cultural houses is not sufficient enough to organize community activities; in some places, cultural houses are far from residential areas, causing inconvenience for participation. Some cultural institutions have deteriorated and lack equipment, affecting the effectiveness of organizing movements.

Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa Ward People's Committee Truong Vinh Hiep said: After merging localities, the ward conducted a survey of all neighborhood cultural institutions, noting the deterioration of facilities and promptly repairing the neighborhood office. Among them, the cultural and sports - community learning center in the ward has seriously deteriorated. The locality has reported and proposed building a new center to create a living and learning space for the people.

" In Bien Hoa Ward, where Tan Hanh Ceramic Cluster and Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd. are located, a large number of workers are concentrated, the formation of a cultural and sports space will contribute to organizing vocational training activities, workshops, and improving the spiritual life of workers. Along with investment and support from the budget, the locality continues to call for socialized resources; while mobilizing people and businesses to participate in upgrading, repairing, and supplementing facilities to better meet the living and training needs of the people," Hiep shared.

According to Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan, in the coming time, the industry will continue to promote the effectiveness of investment resources for cultural development, including prioritizing investment in infrastructure, cultural institutions, human resource training, and building local cultural brands. At the same time, the industry promotes socialization of investment in the fields of culture and sports, encouraging businesses, organizations, and individuals to participate in investing in projects serving the cultural enjoyment and physical training needs of the people, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of Dong Nai province.
