Dong Nai has four athletes competing in the 2025 National Club Weightlifting Championship, which will take place from October 4 to 9 in Thai Nguyen Province.

On October 4, at Nui Coc Lake Tourist Area (Dai Phuc Commune, Thai Nguyen Province), the Sports Authority of Viet Nam, in coordination with the Vietnam Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen Province, held the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Club Weightlifting Championship.
This year’s tournament attracted nearly 230 coaches and athletes from 24 provinces, cities, and sectors nationwide. Athletes competed in three events: Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and Total, across eight men’s weight categories (60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 94kg, 110kg, over 110kg) and eight women’s weight categories (48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 77kg, 86kg, over 86kg). In addition, delegations also competed in team and overall rankings. Dong Nai alone sent four athletes, who competed in the women’s 48kg, 58kg, 86kg, and over 86kg weight categories.

On the opening day, Dong Nai had one athlete competing in the women's 48kg weight class, but unfortunately did not secure a medal. In the remaining events, Dong Nai Weightlifting is hoping for medals in the women's 58kg and over 86kg weight classes, which are scheduled for the morning of October 5 and the afternoon of October 6.
The tournament is expected to close on October 9.
