Female cueist Le Thi Ngoc Mai wins bronze medal in national cup’s 3-cushion event

Female cueist Le Thi Ngoc Mai of Dong Nai Province won a bronze medal in the women's 3-cushion carom event at the VBSF - Aplus 2025 National Carom Cup Championship.

The 2025 National Youth Carom Championship and the VBSF - Aplus 2025 National Carom Cup Championship, organized by the Vietnam Billiards & Snooker Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, concluded on the afternoon of September 17.

At this year’s tournament, cueist Le Thi Ngoc Mai delivered an outstanding performance to advance to the semifinals, where she faced Hua Thao Huyen of Ho Chi Minh City in the women’s 3-cushion carom event at the VBSF - Aplus 2025 National Carom Cup Championship. Unfortunately, in the semifinals, Le Thi Ngoc Mai was defeated 19–30 after 45 innings, thereby sharing third place (bronze medal) with Tran Hoai Khanh Linh of Da Nang. Hua Thao Huyen went on to claim the women’s 3-cushion carom title after defeating Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, also from Da Nang, in the final match.

With Le Thi Ngoc Mai’s bronze medal, Dong Nai concluded this year’s tournament with one silver and one bronze medal. Earlier, young cueist Diep Chan Hung (Dong Nai) delivered an excellent performance to win silver in the 3-cushion carom event at the 2025 National Youth Carom Championship for players aged 22.
