On the afternoon of September 26, the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially kicked off the Dong Nai’s 2025 Youth and Children’s Clubs Swimming Championship across the province.

In his speech, Huynh Thien Tinh, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center Center said that the Dong Nai’s 2025 Youth and Children’s Clubs Swimming Championship is not only a competitive arena in the blue lanes, but also a meaningful playground that helps young participants develop essential swimming skills, thereby contributing to drowning prevention among children and teenagers across the province. At the same time, it serves as a nurturing ground for future swimming talents.

The tournament takes place from September 26 to 28 at the Song Pho Diving and Swimming Club pool, bringing together more than 300 athletes from 26 clubs representing communes and wards across the province. Athletes are competing in 44 events, including: freestyle (25m, 50m) and breaststroke (25m, 50m) for the 6–9 and 10–11 age groups; freestyle (50m, 100m) and breaststroke (50m, 100m) for the 12–13 age group; and freestyle (50m, 100m), breaststroke (50m, 100m), and backstroke (50m, 100m) for the 14–15 and 16–18 age groups.

The closing and awards ceremony will take place on September 28.
