Dong Nai wins two bronze medals at 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Strong Teams

Dong Nai table tennis team wraps up 2025 National Strong Teams Table Tennis Tournament in Phu Tho with two bronze medals (women’s team, men’s doubles).

The 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Strong Teams concluded on September 28 after 10 days of exciting matches at the Vinh Phuc Sports Arena, Phu Tho province.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the Dong Nai table tennis team delivered an impressive performance, securing two bronze medals and thereby meeting their 2025 target. The first bronze came in the women’s team event, where the Dong Nai squad, comprising Le Hoang Thuy Lam, Le Hoang Linh Dan, Do Thi Cuc, Ngo Thi Ngan, and Ho Ngoc Khanh Linh, fell to Army 1 in the semifinals. In this category, HCMC 1 claimed the gold medal, Army 1 took silver, and the remaining bronze went to HCMC 2.

Meanwhile, the Dong Nai duo Ngo An Minh and Hang Nhat Huy fell to the Hai Phong pair Bui Huu Huy and Dinh Quang Minh in the men's doubles semifinals, earning Dong Nai its second bronze medal. The gold medal in this event went to Dinh Anh Hoang and Le Dinh Bac of Public Security T&T, while the silver went to the Hai Phong team.

Overall, the Public Security T&T team won first place with 3 GMs (men's team, men's doubles, and mixed doubles), 3 SMs, 3 BMs; the HCMC team ranked second with 3 GMs (women's team, women's doubles, and women's singles - Mai Hoang My Trang), 1 BM, and in third place was the Hai Phong team with 1 GM (men's singles - Nguyen Duc Tuan), 2 SMs, 3 BMs.

The 2025 National Table Tennis Tournament for Strong Teams took place from September 21 to 28 in Phu Tho province, attracting nearly 130 excellent athletes from 12 strong teams nationwide, including: Public Security T&T, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Army, HCMC, Khanh Hoa, Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Da Nang, and Hung Yen.

Athletes competed across seven events: men's team, women's team, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's singles, and women's singles. This event is a major annual tournament that brings together the strongest table tennis teams from across the country, serving as a key selection ground for athletes preparing for the 33rd SEA Games, to be held this December in Thailand.
